Since the inception of The LJS Nursery School Caroline our Head has worked closely with parents to gain places in the most sought after schools in London and further afield (see below). She is always happy to give advice on prospective schools for the future, for your child even on the initial school tour and regularly meets with parents once their child has settled with us to handhold throughout the entire process.

Asking parents about their own school experiences , giving advice, listening to parents after visits to feeder schools, making links with favoured schools, helping with application forms, writing school recommendations and sending personal letters of support.

Sam our Reception teacher holds a weekly assessment preparation class for older children sitting assessments. Our two or three year programme is specifically designed to prepare children for a future love of life and learning and Caroline and the teachers have targeted plans to get each child ready for their new school experiences based on parent application preferences.

We are great believers in doing what is right for a child in the "here and now" sometimes there is to much focus on getting a child into a school that perhaps they can stay at until age18, that the child's current needs and how they may change as they develop gets overlooked. Our goal is for your child to succeed on every level and not to be labelled or put off learning, so we are honest about how we see your child in school now and what their developing needs are so they are not rushed into larger less nurturing environments before they are developmentally ready.
