We are so lucky to have our outside learning space, a bonus for an inner London school.
Our forest school project is now well and truly launched. The children are having great fun in our mud kitchen making pies and potions.
The pumpkin seeds we planted have turned into little plants and the children are watering them everyday.
The children are learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We read the story of 'The hungry caterpillar' using props. Our youngest class have made a beautiful display of the story, which they are using for counting. In reception and Class 2 we are actually hatching real butterflies. The children are watching the stages and making notes in their 'Butterfly diaries'. What a great way to motivate the children to write!
We know from experience there will be a few tears when the butterflies are released in the playground. Watch this space for the latest photographs!
